2024 Presidents Report
2024 has been an exciting, transformative and extremely hectic year for Brisbane Valley Soccer Club, marked by significant growth, development and progress both on and off the field.

Our club has experienced a second consecutive year of tremendous growth in membership, welcoming a diverse group of new players, families and volunteers. This expansion has enhanced our community spirit, making BVSC a vibrant hub for soccer enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Both junior and senior teams have grown substantially and we now boast a n impressive number of new and returning players who are eager to learn and develop their skills through programs like pre season clinics, fitness and goalkeeper training and our usual training sessions lead by coaches with enhanced skills thanks to our coach training nights. Thanks to Brett and Trent for all of your hard work in this area .

This has led to marked improvement across many of our teams, displaying determination and teamwork, resulting in many outstanding performances. 16 o f a possible 21 teams qualified for finals with 6 Premier teams, 7 Grand Finalist teams and 3 Championship winning teams - a fine display of the depth, talent and commitment BVSC has. Our community engagement has helped us reach more families, supporters and local businesses through school partnerships and the inclusion of 11 new community sponsors, most of which are local. This continues to strengthen the BVSCs position a s a key part o f the community and indeed the biggest sports club in the Somerset region.

This season has also seen notable improvements in BVSC facilities and equipment. Thanks to the support of our sponsors, members and all levels of government we have been able to invest heavily in our clubhouse and canteen, improvements to training equipment, jerseys, player and supporter merchandise, flood mitigation, signage and our new change room and toilet block extension. This will support our players development and provide a more enjoyable experience to spectators and families.

This investment to club infrastructure has been recognised but he QCSA with the appointment of the U6,7,8 end of season carnival that saw 22 teams and 60 matches take place and the hosting of the O30/40s grand finals for the entire competition. Huge crowds supported these events and proved the Nest is the place to be for football action.

The future of BVSC is brighter than ever. With out continued focus on player development, community engagement and facility enhancement, we are confident that the club will continue to thrive into the future. We will keep building on our strong foundations to ensure lasting success on and off the pitch.
